I Done Heard It All: Going Away Parties
We all know I love a good laugh. So on the way home from work yesterday I was chatting with one of my good friends in L.A. She started to tell me about an invitation she received for a mutual associate’s going away party. However, the invitation did not indicate the associate’s destination. This was news to us that she was going away. Soon after receiving the invitation, my friend ended up on the phone with this associate of ours. And it was during that conversation it was revealed where in fact she was going away to. Hold your breath for this one boys and girls. Jail!! Yes, I said it. I laughed until my stomach ached. It was news to me that people throw going away parties for people going away to jail. Wtf? Are you kidding me?!?!
